It was a wonderful experience for the children. Special guests such as the Deputy Mayor, Wes Streeting (MP) and colleagues from the Fairlop Heritage Group were present. We all remembered all the many men and women who gave up their lives in order for us to enjoy the freedom and the peace we experience today.
That we can sit side by side all nationalities together in one hall. The children sang the National Anthem and showed pictures of young people from here who had died during the wars. It was a memorable and moving assembly.
