Antony Lishak visits our school!

We have had a fantastic day today!  Antony Lishak, a published author, visited the school for the day.  He worked with every child in the school, sharing his ideas, explaining how to start writing a story and passing on his enthusiasm for writing to everyone in the school.
First the children took part in a workshop led by Antony.  He explained that all his stories come from his own experiences in life.  Nursery had fun with the book, Row, Your Boat, Key Stage 1 had fun with a rhyming book, Clickety-Clack and Something to Pack and Key Stage 2 heard about Coming Round, Ten Pound Note and Henry's Boots.
At the end of the day Antony then signed some of his books for the children.  Remember the challenge he set you all...there are books to be won!

A few words from Antony...
"I've had a lovely time in this warm, welcoming school.  The children have been very enthusiastic and responsive.  I have been impressed with the level of behaviour throughout the school.   The children here are very secure in their surroundings and have a great raport with their teachers.
There's a very inclusive, friendly atmosphere in the school, and it's been a pleasure to be part of it. The children have been well motivated for the day and I've had lots of fun!  THANK YOU!"

Thank you to Antony for a truly inspiring day!
