On Thursday 15th November, Mrs Gupta and Miss Jackson took 13 children to the Redbridge Primary Schools Association Swimming Gala to represent our school (Team JB).
Joshua Small (4J), Lorenzo Dal Col (4J), Aaron Demitriades (5N), Dominic Small (5N), Rebecca Pinkus (5N), Harrison Pinkus (5N), Thimothee LoTutala (5W), Emma Richards (6B), Nicole Stimpson (6B), Sophie Farnell-Watson (6B), Kara Eldson (6O), Shivani Amin (6O) and Thomas Peters (6O) made up the Team JB.
The children were well-behaved and represented the school well on the poolside. They cheered loudly and did their best in every race.
Team JB made 5 out of 11 finals. John Bramston made the following finals - the Girls' Individual Backstroke (Nicole Stimpson - 3rd overall), Girls' Individual Breaststroke (Emma Richards - 2nd overall), Boys' Individual Butterly (Lorenzo Dal Col - 6th overall), Girls' Freestyle relay (6th overall) and the mixed gender Medley relay (3rd overall).
Well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you for making the effort.
A big thank you as well to all the parents who transported children to the gala and supported the team very enthusiastically from the stands.
The Redbridge Primary Schools Association will be forwarding the certificates to the school, which we hope to receive before the end of term.
The Redbridge Mini Games - Swimming Gala will take place on 31st January 2013. This is a selection event for the London Mini Games 2013 at Crystal Palace. If your child is able to swim at least 50 metres and is interested in taking part in the trials, please complete the form which has further details and will be sent out in December.
